Yea-Vonne has been playing viola for 5 years and violin for 15 years. She graduated from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Music on viola. She has also attended the Aspen summer music festival. Her teachers include John Scanlon and John Graham. She has had the opportunity to work with John Williams, film composer, Robert Mann, of the Juilliard String Quartet, Gil Shaham, violin, and many other well-respected musicians. Currently, Yea-Vonne teaches violin and viola privately, and has been for the last seven years. She also works as a freelance musician, providing chamber groups for various special events as well as coaching the orchestras at Woodbridge High School in Irvine, CA.
